Gorse earrings with eco resin & sterling silver hooks
These colourful earrings are made with a yellow flower called Gorse or Furze, eco resin and sterling silver hooks. Gorse is a very common bush in Ireland that lightens up the landscape with a golden glow where ever you go. Especially from February till May their flowers are blooming in abundance and then you can smell the lovely sweet coconut smell. But the bush blooms all year round and there is the following saying about it: "When Gorse is out of blossom, kissing is out of fashion".
The earring hooks are sterling silver and the caps on the sphere are silver plated. They would make a perfect set of earrings for any occasion and are super lightweight. The eco-friendly resin we use is plantbased, UV resistant and non toxic.

Each step in the long process to create a botanical piece is taken with much precision and care. From finding special flowers, using different methods to dry them while maintaining their colours and shapes, casting a clear resin, sanding and polishing each item. Overall it can take up to a week to complete a piece of jewellery. But it is all worth it when you see the magical end product.
The resin that we use is from Ecopoxy (www.ecopoxy.com), which is a plantbased, waterproof, UV resistant and non-toxic epoxy that is truly green. ✨🌿🌷
